The Erin Bardwell Collective played a 'live in the Hub' BBC session on the Tom Robinson 6 Music show on 22nd April 2008. The group play songs from the Pop-A-Top Records back catalogue. An organ driven early reggae sound with male and female vocals. Established 2003. Keyboard player, DJ and songwriter Erin Bardwell (founder member of The Skanxters) is the main instigator, and he directs the whole project.

The New York Dolls created punk rock before there was a term for it. Building on the Rolling Stones' dirty Rock & Roll, Mick Jagger's androgyny, girl group pop, the glam rock of David Bowie and T. Rex, and the Stooges' anarchic noise, they created a new form of hard rock that presaged both punk rock and heavy metal. Their drug-fueled, shambolic performances influenced a generation of musicians in New York and London. Although they self-destructed quickly, the band's two albums remain two of the most popular cult records in rock & roll history. The Dolls are the UK's only New York Dolls tribute act - they recreate the original show with energetic authenticity and quality musicianship, leaving audiences convinced they've experienced a genuine 1970's show.

Satriani-influenced Guitar-based Rock
Andy Margrett started playing guitar when he was about the age of 13. He started listening to lots of music like Iron Maiden/Dream Theater/Sarah McLachlan/Jewel/Muse, basically lots of very inspiring stuff. He has played in quite a few cover bands and has jammed with some great players. He is currently playing pubs + clubs all around the UK doing mixed material. Mostly rock covers Hendrix/Santana/Free/Satriani/Vai/Pink floyd/Muse.e.t.c. He also works in a studio not only writing and producing his own works but, professionally for other artists and bands. Andy will be performing with Markay (singer/songwriter/guitarist) at The Rolleston playing music from the last 4 decades to today

Originally as a cover band, DTB played songs from Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith and many more infuential Rock/Blues artists. Since then we have found a rocking duo who rocked up Dodging the Bullet even more! Riggs, the man on the guitar and Jonny "The Swingking".We have now a complete mindset and have been writing originals, while still bringing out some of our favourite songs from bands we have learnt so much from. Dodging the bullet is all about uptempo Rock/Blues and Swing based music. We like to bring a more exciting and enjoyable atmosphere into our playing and hopefully the people we are playing to.

Bateleurs
Alternative / Rock / Electroacoustic
Bateleurs are an Alternative/electroacoustic band from Wiltshire, whose members are drawn from across the UK. Bateleurs are based around singer/songwriters Sean Amor + Daryl Ball, backed up by the rhythm section of Mark Sharrocks (Bass) and Jason Gibbs (Drums). Although a song may start as an Amor/Ball composition each member is involved in developing the songs - resulting in the sound of Bateleurs. Although the Bateleurs have only been in existence since Jan 2010 they have worked hard building a strong reputation and developing a solid live set, already securing a number of prestigious local shows and are looking to add many more in the future. The band have recently released their debut EP - New Day Rising. The EP includes the songs 'The Girl With Cartoon Eyes', 'New Day Rising' and 'And It Feels Like' and received positive reviews and radio airplay including a #1 listeners slot on Swindons Signal Radio.

The Femones are about continuing to re-create the kickingest music of The Ramones raw live energy on stage, driven by Violet's extraordinary drumming completed by a line up of extraordinarily talented, muscular, and committed female musicians, is surely something not to be missed. Violet the Cannibal is a drummer second to none literally one of the best drummers on the planet. She has been approached with offers of touring with other bands in Europe (e.g. the iconic Adam Bomb), but The Femones is where it's at for pure, raw, female energy.

A jazz mix that ranges from cotton plantation blues through ballads to Rock 'n' Roll Swing. Skiffle has been associated with railways since the American depression of the 1920's and it is appropriate that Swindon is an old railway town. The band now in its 25th year and is still going strong!
